WIN! A pair of tickets for the Eurostar to Paris, Brussels or Lille

So the kind people at We Are Social have offered us a pair of tickets to giveaway for one lucky FMLB reader. You can use the tickets to get to any of the three cities and perhaps do a spot of clubbing, catch a gig out there, or just venture round the city.

I plan to skip excitedly down Boulevard Voltaire to see Alex Ridha’s amazing album launch party. I’d hope to sip a post-club vintage french wine with Housemeister, whilst sitting on the steps in Montmartre awaiting my return train home.

We are Social’s competition is like a bright neon opportunity in my grey life, and for this reason i would love to win tickets to Paris: rave city.

Simply because the last time I went to Paris as a child I saw a man cook a corn on the cob in a shopping trolley. I want to see if this is normal. If not, then I clearly have not experienced their culture in full. X

Since I was a child watching shows with Rolf Harris,
I have always dreamed of visiting Paris,
To walk the streets and smell the flowers,
Have a cheesy photo by the Eiffel Tower,
I can’t imagine anything more fine
Than stuffing myself full of cheese and wine,
I’d find a French hottie to drape on my arm
and visit the Cathedrale of Notre-Dame,
Smile at the locals with onions round their necks,
At night get down to Justice, owning the decks,
Oh how I wish I could stroll along the Seine,
Make my dream come true Fried My Little Brain!!

  • Jasmine Jazhazatoygun

This is a LONG and woeful tale but I’ll try and keep it short…

My sis lives and works in Paris so I never get to see her which is a shame cos once we’re old and crusty our hips will hurt after 5mins of walking let alone dancing. ANYWAY, I used to work LONG hours and had an evil boss who made time off impossible. Despite this I saved up those Nectar points from Sainsbury’s that can buy you a Eurostar trip (it’s a HELLUVA lot of points!!!) THEN I lost my job with the recession (blah blah holy cripes I’m dangerously penniless and hungry but au revoir pervy, evil boss) and have been out of work ever since so have had to use my points on food shopping instead and wave goodbye to the trip where I most probably would’ve met a rather nice french chap who just so happened to have spare tickets to see Fuck Buttons, Boys Noize and Fleetwood Mac.

This is the short version trrrrrust me.

So here’s hoping I win a this trip as my last holiday was in 2007 and now feels like a figment of my imagination.

Apologies for the blathering but when the tears started flowing I my fingers became a tippy-tapping blur…

Je taime tous FMLB. Vous rendre la vie belle et wiith salir vos battements de maladie. Hahaha. I love translation tools. xxx

  • Gracefuljunkie

    Dear Jimy’ll fix it.
Aaaah I would love to win these tickets.
Credit crunch means no holidays for me at all this year but a break away from the big smoke, my inbox, and my flatmate would be most welcome. I can hear Paris calling me as I type, all these early mornings and late nights glued to my desk are starting to make me feel OLD.
If only for a couple of days at least. Do I have to beg?
I’d take my little brother who was in a fatal car accident at the weekend and was one of the lucky ones who walked away with just a split knee and a broken arm.
(See Will, I do CARE!) Can Jim fix it for Will and Grace to DO paris?

  • Haze

Because I have just come into possession of an ancient pirates treasure map. X marks the spot somewhere below the Eiffel Tower. If i can uncover the treasure I will share the bounty with you all.

  • Michael

‘cos I’ve always heard that Paris is a bit grimy, so want to check it out for myself πŸ˜‰

  • Ali K
