Chapter nine in the ‘Dark & Lovely’ series drops with Pilooski at the helm as always. The Pointer Sisters’ ‘Send Him Back’ takes up the A side and works in much the same way as his legendary’Beggin’ re-edit - a great song to begin with gets beefed up with hand claps and kicks a plenty. On the B side Danny Gold’s ‘Throwdown’ is a lovely cut which is all stompy and throbbing but fairly relaxed at the same time - no mean feat. Del Shannon’s Gemini’ finishes off the side in a weird angular way. Another three winners from Pilooski.tably named Is It Balearic? imprint..

BIG event alert!

Next weekend Troubleman Unlimited are bringing their italo-disco to London. As well as main man Mike Simonetti and flagship group Chromatics there is also a rare dj set from Sweden’s nu-disco gods Studio and London based djs Walk The Night.
