SLK interview

SLK spoke to us.

I know you recently played in London, what does your live set consist of?

SLK: My full live set at the moment comprises of drums, bass, backing track/sounds, backing vocals, moving visuals and myself. I also use a pianist or an acoustic guitarist for acoustic situations/sessions.

DB: What are two or three songs that move you… any way?

SLK: Massive Attack ‘Unfinished Sympathy’, FKA twigs ‘Pappi Pacify’, Bjork ‘Hyper Ballad’.

DB: Inspiration: if you went to a deserted house in the country to write & record with no material could you create from thin air?

SLK: Even though I am obsessed with other people’s music and my inspirations, being free to create something with no distractions sounds exciting and productive for sure.

DB: What are you working on now? What is next on the live appearances front?

SLK: I am busy planting the seeds for my next EP I am also embarking on some very special collaborations. Next gig I am supporting the amazing Kojey Radical at Birthdays on 04/08 exciting times ahead.
