el Jimador launches “Discover Mexology” hub
Friday 1st November saw Vice team up with el Jimador Tequila to celebrate the launch of el Jimador’s “Discover Mexology” hub with a FREE ‘Day of the Dead’ party held at The Old Blue Last.
Having transformed The Old Blue Last with candy skulls, flower garlands and neon crucifixes, the night was a celebration of ‘Dia De Muertos’, the Mexican Day Of The Dead festival. The night featured el Jimador Tequila and in particular the taste of the Paloma, a Tequila long drinkwhich came in 4 variations. These long tequila-based drinks made a refreshing change from doing salty shots at the bar! My favourite was the authentic Mexican Lime Paloma – a mix of el Jimador Blanco Tequila with lime cordial and soda.
Not only was the venue decked out, party-goers themselves came dressed up, there was everything from candy skull face-paint to Darth Vaders roaming the pub. Besides some free drinks and t-shirts, we were treated to performances from Charlie Boyer & The Voyeurs, Temple Songs and Neon Windbreaker along with a DJ set from TOY. B.
