Design Soma’s 2008 compilation cover

Here’s a lovely little competition…

The legendary Scottish label Soma, famed for bringing us the likes of Daft Punk, Alex Smoke, Funk D’Void, and Slam, are giving people the opportunity to design the sleeve for their 2008 Compilation, due out in December. The goal? An exciting idea that captures the vibe of Soma Recordings for the front and back covers of the 2008 compilation.

The winning entry will be selected by the staff of Soma Records and will receive a copy of the record (naturally), as well as every album that has come out on the label in 2008, a t-shirt, and a free 6-month subscription to the digital downloads on the Soma Records website. Runners up will receive a Soma Records t-shirt. When you have finished and are satisfied with your design, all you need to do is to export it as a PDF or high quality JPEG for proofing. Please keep the file size as small as possible without compromising your design (we recommended 1200 x 1200 cover size).

Winners will be required to supply a high quality, print version of the artwork so please keep your original files handy. Also, please note that the tracklist is not finalized yet, so for the rough version of your artwork, just list the tracklist as Artist 1 - Track 1, Artist 2 - Track 2, etc.
