Carl Craig, one of electronic music’s most celebrated originators is finally getting the mainstream recognition he deserves.

He’s gotten BBC spins from the likes of Radiohead, seen his classic “Throw” become an encore cover-version staple at the hands of LCD Soundsystem, and had his compositions performed at Carnegie Hall.

Most recently he has received a Grammy nomination for his remix of the Junior Boys’ “Like a Child,” a distinction which has eluded many of even the most stalwart electronic musicians. With Sessions, a retrospective of some of his finest productions and remixes hitting the streets in February, it appears that 2008 will be Carl Craig’s year. Sessions is due out on Feb 25th, pre-order the CD from Amazon.co.uk
