Managed to grab a promo of the new album by the Hot Chip boys, but not rating it as much as most others are, perhaps it’ll be a grower on me, much like their last one was.
Anyhow, Jesse Rose, operating out of Berlin, has remixed their “Ready for the Floor” single, and this crunchier, dubby version brings a smile to my face. Still slow but with a bit more oomph, you can find this on the remix 12″ along side the storming Soulwax remix which I posted at the early stages of this blogs life… Buy the 12″ from Juno

Another track that caught my attention, off a compilation from the french music magazine Tsugi, is the Poney Poney remix of Don Rimini’s Let Me Ride Up. “Let me back up” comes shouting across a guitar driven bassline with tinges of a piano and some filthy feedback to provide this simple, yet catchy track by the Don, watch out for this guy in 2008 - I think he’s going to blow up big style.
